Coastline Christian School
Preschool – 12th Grade
A Christ-Centered Educational Pathway for Tillamook Families
Coastline Christian School is a private, teacher-led Christian school serving students from Preschool through 12th grade in Tillamook, Oregon.
At Coastline, strong academics, a Biblical foundation, and family partnership come together to create a vibrant and purposeful learning environment. Our goal is to provide students with both academic excellence and a deep understanding of Scripture as they grow in knowledge, character, and faith.
Coastline is designed to be a full educational pathway, supporting students from early childhood through high school graduation. We believe education should nurture the whole child—developing critical thinking, strong academic skills, and a firm foundation in Biblical truth.
Families are valued partners in the learning process. While instruction and curriculum are teacher-led, meaningful family engagement and transparency strengthen both student development and the community we build together.
OUR VISION
Our Vision is to provide excellence in education, a strong foundation of Biblical faith, grace and love to live and interact in community with others and prepare students for God’s calling in their lives to make a difference.

Our Educational Approach
At Coastline Christian School, our academic program is unapologetically Christian and classically grounded. Students are taught not only what to learn, but how to think, reason, and engage the world through a Biblical lens.
Our classrooms combine strong academics with spiritual formation, helping students grow in knowledge, discernment, and faith.
Our learning environment includes:
• Strong core academics
• Biblical worldview integration across all subjects
• Individualized pacing where needed
• Discussion-based learning and critical thinking
• Hands-on projects and thematic exploration
This balanced approach allows students to develop academic confidence, character, leadership, and spiritual maturity.
A Full Educational Pathway
Coastline is intentionally designed as a long-term educational pathway from Preschool through 12th grade.
Students who begin in Preschool can continue their journey through elementary, middle school, and high school within the same supportive learning community. This continuity allows students to grow academically and spiritually while building meaningful relationships with teachers and peers.
Over time, students develop:
• Academic confidence
• Spiritual maturity
• Leadership and character
• Long-term mentorship with teachers
Our goal is not simply to prepare students for graduation, but to equip them to pursue the calling God has placed on their lives.
Curriculum
Coastline Christian School utilizes Excelara as our primary curriculum beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, with AOP curriculum continuing to support mastery of core academic skills.
Excelara provides a classical Christian framework designed to cultivate wise, virtuous, and courageous students through a rigorous, Biblically grounded education. Excelara Network Complete Scope…
Our academic program is structured to support both teacher-guided instruction and meaningful parent partnership, allowing students to grow through both structured learning and collaborative projects.
Students benefit from:
• Adaptive learning tools that personalize academic pace
• Rich literature and classical content
• Integrated subjects that connect history, literature, science, art, and culture
• Discussion-based learning and Socratic dialogue
• Hands-on projects and experiential learning
Math and language arts may progress at an individualized pace to support mastery, while other subjects move together as a class through projects, labs, discussions, and collaborative exploration.
Classical Learning Stages
Excelara follows a classical educational model that develops students as they grow.
Primary Stage (K–2)
Early learners are introduced to the joy of learning through Bible stories, phonics-based reading, foundational math, science exploration, and hands-on discovery.
Students develop early literacy, curiosity about God’s creation, and habits of attention and wonder.
Grammar Stage (3–6)
Students build strong academic foundations through memorization, storytelling, structured writing, and integrated humanities. History, literature, science, art, and geography are studied together within historical eras.
Students also develop language skills, Latin foundations, mathematical reasoning, and scientific inquiry.
Logic Stage (7–8)
Students begin developing analytical thinking and reasoning skills. Coursework includes formal logic, Church history, theology, scientific reasoning, and analytical writing.
Students learn to evaluate ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and defend truth with clarity.
Rhetoric Stage (9–12)
High school students refine their ability to communicate truth clearly and persuasively. Studies include theology, worldview, advanced writing, science, mathematics, literature, and history.
Students graduate prepared for college, career, leadership, and faithful Christian living.
Accommodation & Adaptation
Every student is distinct, possessing their own learning speeds, challenges, and strengths. Each needs various resources to achieve academic success. At Coastline Christian, we celebrate this uniqueness by incorporating Bible-based, social-emotional learning, providing learning accommodations, and fostering effective communication strategies between teachers and students.
Biblical Foundations
Biblical education is central to everything we do at Coastline.
Young students begin with courses focused on Bible heroes, trusting God, the teachings of Jesus, and the story of creation. These early lessons nurture faith while building familiarity with Scripture.
As students grow, they study the Bible through a structured four-year rotation, exploring the Old Testament, the Kingdom era and prophets, the life and teachings of Jesus, and the early Church. Students learn biblical chronology, key figures, historical context, and Scripture memory.
Older students deepen their understanding through courses in Christian Studies, theology, Church history, and Biblical worldview, equipping them to understand doctrine, think critically about culture, and live out their faith with confidence.
A Fully Integrated Christian Education
At Coastline, academic excellence and spiritual formation go hand in hand. Every subject—from science to literature to mathematics—is taught through a Biblical worldview, helping students see God’s truth reflected in every area of learning.
Our goal is not simply to prepare students for tests, but to equip them to become thoughtful thinkers, courageous leaders, compassionate servants, and faithful followers of Christ.
Through Excelara’s classical framework and Coastline’s strong partnership between teachers and families, students grow in knowledge, character, and faith as they pursue the calling God has placed on their lives.
College Pathways
Coastline is committed to preparing students for life beyond graduation.
Students who attend Coastline for nine or more years are eligible to attend college tuition-free after graduation through participating programs.
In addition, high school students have the opportunity to earn an Associate’s Degree while completing their high school diploma, giving them a powerful academic head start as they transition into college or career pathways.

Themes help preschoolers construct knowledge and build connections through real experiences. Instead of having a day of disjointed activities, themes organize new information around a unified context, which results in a growing web of knowledge.
Each theme creatively integrates colors, shapes, numbers and letters of the month.
Monthly themes invite children to explore new ideas with an interdisciplinary, multi-sensory approach. Experience Curriculum uses music, art, dramatic play, storytelling, games, books and experiments to ignite imagination and bring the theme to life in four weeks of wonder.
